PHOENIX — Morning Squeeze, the popular breakfast and lunch spot in Scottsdale, has opened a new location in downtown Tempe.

The new building, located near Mill Avenue and Seventh Street, will be open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. serving items including breakfast tacos, sandwiches and specialty bowls.

Renovating the building, which used to house Delice Bistro, took some time, but owner Todd Belfer thinks the results will be worth the wait.

“It’s been a couple years in the making, so I’m thrilled to be opening the doors to our second location,” Belfer said.

The original Morning Squeeze in Scottsdale opened five years ago near Scottsdale and Camelback Roads.

Success in Scottsdale led Belfer to consider expansion.

He settled on a spot near ASU’s main campus, where he teaches at the WP Cary School of Business.

The new location will feature bright, 1970s-themed decor, just as the original does. It will also feature an expansive dog-friendly patio.

Morning Squeeze will join a downtown breakfast scene that has grown in the past few years to include Snooze an A.M. Eatery, Ncounter and Matt’s Big Breakfast.

We want to hear from you.
