Glendale officer re-released from hospital after March shooting

PHOENIX — A Glendale police officer who was hospitalized after being injured in a shooting last month was able to spend the Easter holiday with his family.
Sgt. Robert Livingston, who goes by Kent, was released from the hospital this past weekend, the Glendale Police Department said in a Twitter post.
“Excited to share that Sgt. Kent Livingston was released from the hospital late this past weekend and was able to share Easter at home [with] his family,” the post read.
“Thank you again for everyone’s support and well wishes. Starting the healing process again and hoping for a speedy recovery.”

Livingston was seriously injured in a shooting on March 2.
The suspect, 44-year-old Stephen Hudak, was killed by officers after a short search.
Undercover officers first made contact with Hudak when the exchange of gunfire started. Hudak was wanted on multiple felony warrants.
Hudak was fleeing from officers when he allegedly shot Livingston.
Hudak was on the loose for about 20 minutes before being shot. At one point, he exchanged gunfire with officers after running through a business.
Livingston was first released from to a local Valley hospital for his injuries in late March after being treated for two weeks, primarily in the ICU.
Just days later, he was re-admitted for unknown reasons.
