PHOENIX – The small town of Jerome in central Arizona is famous for its haunted attractions, and now it holds the title of being home to the best small town bar in the state.
Thrillest recently published a list of the best small town bars in every state, naming the Spirit Room as the best in Arizona.
A bustling copper town in the late 1800’s, Jerome became a literal ghost town and now has a population of just 444 — along with a few ghosts inhabiting some of the town’s landmarks.
The bar itself provides patrons with an Old West feel, with painted murals of playing cards and “scantily clad dancing women.”
The Spirit Room has live music most of the day, providing the mixture of bikers, locals and tourists entertainment throughout the week.
And for tourists looking to find a place to stay in the old town, the Connor Hotel sits directly above the bar.
The hotel has 12 guest rooms, with all of the necessary amenities one needs, including a little paranormal activity for those looking for a chilling experience.
