PHOENIX — If you were planning on starting your weekend in Las Vegas a little early, you may want to bet on a longer drive up there.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said Thursday that U.S. 93 — the primary road between Sin City and Phoenix — was almost completely closed following a crash for a time.
The crash was about 40 miles north of Wickenburg.
Only a single lane was open for about 30 minutes. The northbound lane was reopened about 2:30 p.m.
UPDATE: NB lane is open again, but expect delays both NB and SB. https://t.co/wjDhyu5ArT

ADOT said it took about two hours to clear the backup and for traffic to return to normal.
