PHOENIX — A total of eight people, including four children, were involved in a rollover crash in north Phoenix.
Capt. Jake Van Hook with the Phoenix Fire Department said two vehicles — a large SUV and a smaller SUV — were involved in the crash, which occurred around 5 p.m. at 7th Avenue and Bell Road.
Hook said two adult males, two adult females, a 3-year-old boy, a 2-year-old girl and a 2-month old girl were transported to local hospitals.
Another pediatric patient was evaluated on the scene, but their parent refused transportation.
All of the adults were in stable condition. The 3-year-old and 2-year-old were in extremely critical condition, but stable.
The 3-year-old was ejected from the vehicle. The 2-year-old was found on the floor board of the vehicle. The 2-month old was found in critical condition in an infant carrier.
All of the victims were expected to survive. None of their identities has been released.
There was no word on the cause of the crash. The large SUV was suspected to have rolled over multiple times.
The Phoenix Police Department advised drivers to avoid the area.
