PHOENIX — A Sprouts Farmer’s Market location was expected to be featured in a mixed-use development that will feature both retail spots and apartments in midtown Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the grocer will be featured in The Osborn Marketplace, which was the retail side of a project called The Osborn.

The project will be located on the southwest corner of Osborn Road and Seventh Avenue.

Sprouts told the publication that the company has not announced a store at that location, but the developer said it had signed a lease at the shopping center.

Sprouts will join a number of tenants in the marketplace, including Starbucks, OrangeTheory Fitness, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Jamba Juice.

The Phoenix-based grocer was also planning to open at least 30 locations across the United States this year, including stores in Tempe, Scottsdale and Mesa.

Construction begun on the Osborn Residences, the residential side of The Osborn, last week. The complex was expected to feature 190 units and would be five stories tall.

Paul Tuchin, a senior vice president with High Street Residential’s business unit in Phoenix, said in a statement the project was “designed and amenitized with the goal of appealing to a wide range of potential renters.”

The residences were expected to be ready for tenants by August 2019.
