PHOENIX — Hall of Fame inductee and former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is taking a page out of Larry Fitzgerald’s book.

He will be in Arizona in May to host a celebrity golf tournament, a press release said.

The inagural Mountain Shadows Celebrity Shootout will take place on May 3 and 4 and comes with a twist: the 18-hole course consists only of par-3s.

The opening night will begin with a green carpet, auction items and an evening of entertainment. The participant and celebrity teammate will be paired up during the party.

Tickets start at $4,000 per foursome.

A portion of funds raised from the tournament will benefit the Ray of Hope Foundation, a non-profit Lewis and Sport Science host John Brenkus founded together to provide messages for people experiencing hardships.

This foundation started when Brenkus asked Lewis to record an inspirational video for a friend with brain cancer, the website said. The next day, Brenkus recorded a video for a high school athlete who was paralyzed.

It has grown since, with 22 celebrities listed on the site’s roster including Michael Phelps, Trent Dilfer and Ernie Johnson.

In a press release, Lewis said the weekend will provide “the opportunity to send personalized, inspirational videos from an all-star roster of celebrities directly to those who are in dire need of hope in the Phoenix area.”

We want to hear from you.
