PHOENIX — The Federal Bureau of Investigation was asking for the public’s help in tracking down two suspects linked to eight bank robberies in Arizona since late 2016.

The so-called “criss-cross bandits,” one man and one woman, were believed to have committed eight bank robberies between Nov. 5, 2016 and Sept. 30, 2017.

Officials said they were working together to commit those robberies. The pair would allegedly produce a demand note, obtain the money and flee the scene in a tan or light-colored Nissan Juke.

The male suspect was described as a White or Hispanic male between the ages of 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5’8 to 6’0″ and weighed 170 to 190 pounds.

The female suspect had been described as a White female between 25 and 35 years old, approximately 5’0″ to 5’5″ and weighed 100 to 120 pounds.

Both suspects typically wore long pants, long-sleeved shirts, dark sunglasses and hats during the robberies. Most of the clothing appeared to be oversized.

The pair were considered to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts was encouraged to contact the FBI’s Phoenix Field Office at 623-466-1999 or submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov.

We want to hear from you.
