PHOENIX — After visiting a local business in Phoenix you may leave happy and with a smile on your face, a new report said.
New data ranked Phoenix as the third friendliest city in the country in terms of local business.
The numbers, analyzed by Groupon, ranked the top 10 cities in the nation by looking at the highest percentages of merchants and business that met certain criteria regarding customer service and popularity.
“We recognize and celebrate the local businesses that make the neighborhoods we call home great places to live in just about everything we do,” said Jennifer Carr-Smith, senior vice president of North American Local Groupon.
“With spring just around the corner, now is the perfect time to explore your community and support these businesses and experience some true local hospitality.”
The release of the list coincided with the unveiling of the Best of Groupon collection which gave deals for local businesses around the Valley.
The Best of Groupon spans a wide range of industries from health and beauty to food and drink to travel and activities-based businesses.
Groupon has allowed small businesses to receive increased exposure by offering customers discounts on their services.
Since it launched in 2008, the company has saved consumers more than $28 billion and has put more than $18 billion into local communities.
