PHOENIX — Arizona State University’s Gammage Auditorium released its upcoming Broadway season on Monday and some big shows will be rolling through Tempe over the next year.
“This season is packed with Broadway’s biggest hits, and I can’t wait for the Valley to experience these amazing productions,” Colleen Jennings-Roggensack, the executive director of ASU Gammage and ASU vice president for cultural affairs, said in a release.
“We have great family shows, fun date nights, Broadway classics and fan favorites. There is really something in this season for everyone.”
The upcoming 2018-2019 season — which begins in October — will feature shows such as “Wicked,” “Rent” and “Aladdin.” Another popular production, “The Book of Mormon,” will return for another run.
Single-show tickets will be available for each production and Gammage also offers a season subscription. Those will go on sale May 7.
Subscription prices start at $190 per seat for seven shows.
Season ticket renewals must be completed by April 13.
“Wicked,” “Rent” and “Book of Mormon” are season options, meaning they are not included in every subscription. Tickets to those shows can be purchased for an additional fee.
This year’s season will wrap up in June with “School of Rock.” It will likely go down as the most successful Broadway run in the auditorium’s history, thanks to the nearly monthlong production of “Hamilton” that generated more than $50 million in economic impact.
It was also the first time that Broadway season tickets sold out.
