PHOENIX — Some Arizona drivers were probably wondering just how lost they were this week when a Honolulu Fire Department truck cruised by on the highway.
But hopefully those drivers did not bust out the sandals and beach towels, as the truck was merely passing through the northern part of the Grand Canyon State on Interstate 40.
Hawaii News Now reported that the brand-new truck was being driven across the country from Pennsylvania to the West Coast, where it will be shipped across the Pacific to the Hawaiian Islands.
The truck will eventually make its way to Fire Station 17 in Kaneohe on Oahu.
The station is located about 10 miles from the famed Waikiki Beach and has quite the view of the mountains.
The lucky firefighters at that station not only get to enjoy the mountain view, but are located about a mile from the beach.
