PHOENIX — Officials in a northeastern Arizona town are searching for a 16-year-old girl who was last seen on Monday.

According to the Navajo Police Department, 16-year-old Kyaena Kabinto was last seen around 5 p.m. on Monday in Leupp, Arizona, a small town on the Hopi Reservation that is about 47 miles from Flagstaff.

Police said she left home the day before and said she was going to Phoenix. Kyaena also goes by Kinzie Ashike or Kyaena Kabinto Cullison.

Kyaena is described as a 5-foot, 1-inch-tall Native American female who weighs about 125 pounds. She has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweater and blue jeans.

Police believe she may be in the Phoenix area or near Fort Defiance, a small town on the border of Arizona and New Mexico.

Anyone with information about Kyaena’s whereabouts is asked to call the Navajo Police Department Dilkon District at 928-657-8075 or 911 as soon as possible.
