PHOENIX — Living in luxury is something we all deserve to experience every once in awhile.
Luckily, according to Tripadvisor.com, you don’t even have to leave the state to enjoy a luxury stay-cation.
Sanctuary Resort and Spa at Camelback Mountain and The Ritz-Carlton at Dove Mountain both made Tripadvisor.com’s top 25 list for luxury hotels in the U.S.
Sanctuary, located in Paradise Valley, came in at No. 23 in the country and was the highest rated resort in Arizona acording Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
The hotel is known as a relaxing getaway with luxury dining options. They often entertain weddings and meetings and frequently host cigar and wine dinners.
Camelback Mountain provides a serene backdrop for vacationers to enjoy following the fine dining or spa treatments offered at the hotel.
The Spa at Sanctuary offers multiple services such as facials and massages. It features 12 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms and a Zen meditation garden.
The Ritz-Carlton at Dove Mountain is located in Marana just north of Tucson. It came in the final spot on the list ranking 25th in the country.
Gemstone treatments at the Ritz-Carlton Spa have become a pilgrimage for some and is the main reason Conde Nast Traveler ranked it the best spa in Arizona.
All of the spa’s treatments — massage, radiance journey and ritual — feature the use of desert gemstones.
The Ritz-Carlton also hosts weddings and meetings and features five luxury restaurants including a sushi bar and latin grill.
Tourists looking for luxury can find what they want in Arizona but they have to pay a hefty price. The price per night at the Sanctuary is $749 and at the Ritz-Carlton you can book a one night stay for $659.
