Former first lady Laura Bush to speak at event in Phoenix

PHOENIX – Former first lady Laura Bush will be a featured speaker at the inaugural Legacy Luncheon event in April, according to a release.
The luncheon will honor Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, and benefit the Sandra Day O’Connor Institute and Hospice of the Valley.
According to the release, Bush will reflect on her time in the White House and hold a discussion about her new book, “Spoken from the Heart,” a No. 1 New York Times best seller.
Following her speech, Bush will be the focus of a conversation moderated by the director of community engagement for Hospice of the Valley, Lin Sue Cooney.
The Legacy Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel located near 24th Street and Lincoln Drive in Phoenix.
