Al Pacino takes on Joe Paterno in an upcoming HBO movie

A trailer arrived for new HBO movie about Penn State football coach Joe Paterno and his knowledge of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.
The 48-second teaser offers a look at Al Pacino, who will be playing Paterno. Pacino is donned in yellow-tinted glasses and a Penn State sweater as he addresses crowds of people, oversees practices and is questioned about the scandal.
In the trailer, the Oscar-winning actor is asked if he knew about what was going on and answers in silence.
Joe Paterno is one of the winningest coaches in college football history and he was also one of most respected coaches. That all changed when news came out about his assistant coach, Jerry Sandusky, was found to be raping and molesting children during his coaching years.
Sandusky went to trial and was found guilty. He received 60 years in prison and is eligible for parole after 30 years.
Paterno’s coaching career lasted from the mid-60s until 2011, when he was dismissed amid the scandal.
Paterno passed away in January 2012. Penn State removed a statue that honored Paterno in July of that year.
There is no specific release date for the film but it is scheduled to come out sometime this spring.
