PHOENIX – Coup Des Tartes, a popular french-inspired restaurant in Phoenix will permanently close its doors on Jan. 31, the restaurant announced Thursday.
The announcement comes via the restaurant’s Facebook page, where they thanked customers for their loyalty over the course of the 22-year history.
Despite steady business, the restaurant claims that financial pressures from new labor laws and previous debt due to its relocation in 2014 are the reason it is closing.
Coup Des Tartes has been the staple of french-bistro style dining throughout the course of its existence. And according to the company website, is the longest running french restaurant in the Phoenix-area.
Along with its warmly lit dining room and 1920’s Paris decor, the restaurant has remained a popular destination for those seeking an intimate meal.

The restaurant also offers a Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Coup Des Tartes is located near the intersection of Osborne Road and 18th Street in Phoenix.
