PHOENIX — Hula’s Modern Tiki, a restaurant and bar in downtown Phoenix, will be relocating to a space near Seventh Street and Camelback Road.
According to AZBigMedia, the new 4,100 square-foot location was set to open sometime this summer. The the old location, which opened in 2009, will be torn down to make room for a residential development.
Luckily for fans of Hula’s, the restaurant is moving less than a mile away.
“This all new Hula’s location allows us to remain in the Uptown Phoenix neighborhood that has loved and supported us since day one,” said M. Dana Mule, the owner.
The new location will feature an indoor and outdoor patio space, a 40-person dining area and a hidden tiki bar named “The Captain’s Cabin”
“This intimate 28-seat bar is named The Captain’s Cabin, and will serve up both modern and classic tiki cocktails in an wood-paneled space,” Mule said.
Mule mentioned that restaurant will be pet-friendly and will feature a fire pit, custom tiki artwork, nautical decor and much more.
The existing location on Central Avenue and Camelback Road will continue to operate as usual until June.
The Polynesian fusion restaurant has a second location in Scottsdale on Indian School and Scottsdale roads.
