PHOENIX — Are you ready to rock, Phoenix? Journey and Def Leppard announced Friday they would make a stop in Phoenix on their upcoming joint tour.

The bands were slated to rock the rafters of Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix on Sept. 7

“This tour is going to be a blast! We’ve toured together before and it was massive,” Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliott said in a press release. “This time it’s going to be even bigger and better.”

Tickets for the Phoenix show were expected to go on sale Feb. 3 at LiveNation.com. Presales were scheduled to begin Tuesday.

VIP packages can be purchased on either the Def Leppard or Journey websites.

The 58-city tour will begin May 21 in Hartford, Connecticut.

The bands last toured together 12 years ago and said they were excited to reunite on the big stage.

“Twelve years ago, we embarked on a U.S. tour with Journey and it was an absolute blast,” Def Leppard bassist Rick Savage said in the release. “Looking forward to hooking up again. Believe me, this will be even more spectacular.”

Def Leppard and Journey will alternate closing the show each night.

For those unable to make the Phoenix date, the bands will make stops in several relatively nearby cities.

The tour will have fans dancing and singing along on July 21 in Denver, Sept. 8 in Las Vegas, Sept. 23 in San Diego and Oct. 6 in Los Angeles.

We want to hear from you.
