PHOENIX — It was nice while it lasted.
While drivers in the Phoenix-area experienced the last two weekends free of highway closures due to construction, they should not expect the same for this upcoming weekend.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, there will be a limited number of restrictions for work along Valley freeways during the Jan. 19 weekend.
The eastbound Loop 202 ramp to the southbound Loop 101 in Tempe will be closed from 11:30 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Saturday for guardrail repair.
The westbound U.S. 60 on-ramp at Dobson Road in Mesa will be closed from 9 p.m. on Sunday to 5 a.m. on Monday for freeway lighting maintenance. The westbound U.S. 60 right lane will also be closed near Loop 101.
The westbound Interstate 10 right lane will be closed between 27th and 31st avenues west of the Interstate 17 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday through Tuesday for Salt River Project irrigation work.
