1-year-old boy dies after being found unresponsive in Phoenix home

PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after a 1-year-old boy was pronounced dead after he was found unresponsive in a Phoenix home over the weekend.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, 1-year-old Jonathan Horton, Jr. was found unresponsive in a home near Kristal Way and 13th Avenue around 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The child was soon taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The department said the Maricopa County Medical Examiner is conducting an ongoing death investigation and is working to determine the boy’s cause of death.
Police initially said the boy was a 2-year-old, but later corrected his age.
