PHOENIX — The real estate market in the Phoenix-area saw a whole host of multi-million home sales in 2017.
In total, the top 16 home sales made throughout the year brought in more than $105 million combined, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
Out of these sales, two homes topped $10 million each, while eight homes sold between $5 and $8.6 million each and the other six homes sold for more than $4 million a piece.
The majority of those multi-million homes were sold in Paradise Valley or Scottsdale, with eight homes sold in Paradise Valley and seven sold in Scottsdale.
The last home was sold in Gilbert, when Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier sold his home last August for $4.9 million.
The most expensive home sale in 2017 went to a Paradise Valley home bought by Steve Sanghi, the founder of the Chandler-based Microchip Technology, for $15.6 million. It’s the most expensive home ever sold in Arizona.
A Phoenix-area home sale that involved a notable child actor did not make the list, however: Former “Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz sold his Phoenix-area home for a cool $3.2 million in December.
But if you are still looking to purchase a multi-million dollar home in the Valley, don’t fret: There’s currently a seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom home in Paradise Valley on the market for $19.9 million.
And if that’s out of your price range, there’s a six-bedroom, 13-bathroom option in the area on sale for $16.9 million. And this one comes with a 25-person commercial elevator and a two-story library.
