PHOENIX — That was a lot more than just a coat of paint: A downtown Tempe hotel unveiled Wednesday a $5 million renovation.
According to a press release, the massive overhaul at the Courtyard Tempe Downtown near Mill Avenue and University Drive included making improvements to the rooms, lobby, meeting and fitness areas.
“The $5 million upgrade touches every part of our hotel experience,” General Manager Jim O’Meara said in a press release. “From residing in our private rooms and suites to dining, meeting and working out in our public spaces, we wanted to provide a modern approach to travel.”
The rooms will now have complimentary Wi-Fi, pullout sofas and mini-refrigerators and coffee makers.
New decor was added to the rooms and the bathrooms were upgraded.
The hotel’s restaurant, the Bistro, was also revamped. New floors were installed, along with other improvements.
