Main Street Minute: Phoenix data center operations sells for $1 billion

• Iron Mountain Incorporated is making a big investment in the Valley. The storage-and-information-management services firm out of Boston plans to acquire Phoenix-based IO Data Center’s US operations. The price tag is over $1.3 billion. Iron Mountain will take over data centers in Phoenix and Scottsdale as part of the transaction.
• Goodwill is hosting a hiring event to staff a new store in Scottsdale. Tuesday’s job fair runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. near Scottsdale and Thomas roads. Goodwill is also interviewing prospective employees Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at its store near 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix.
