Man builds full-size ‘Star Wars’ tie fighter ahead of new movie

One project wasn’t enough.

In 2016, Colin Furze built a massive AT-ACT.

Now, he’s built a life-size tie fighter of the Star Wars franchise.

Using a toy to help with the dimensions and details, Furze and his team recreated Kylo Ren’s ship down to the last steel-plated panel in six weeks.

At 46 feet long, 23 feet wide and 14 feet tall, the ship looks like it is straight out of the movie.

But how did he get all the parts?

In a collaboration with eBay, Furze used the online website for all his steel and other needs to complete the massive project.

And the ship isn’t complete without its own droid. James Bruton made a fully working BB-9E to go along with the tie fighter.

The tie fighter will be on display at Burghley House in Stamford from Dec. 2 – Dec. 10.
