Main Street Minute: Scottsdale mall to host free holiday movie screenings

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. Stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• The third annual Christmas Movies at the Quarter kicks off this weekend. Every Friday in December, the Scottsdale Quarter shopping mall will host free screenings of holiday classics. Lawn chairs and blankets are permitted on the quad. Show time is 6:30 p.m. for “Nightmare Before Christmas.”
• The Regional Career Entrepreneurial Expo and Events is holding a job fair Thursday in Phoenix. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Westin Phoenix Downtown near Central Avenue and Van Buren Street.
• The Original Chop Shop is expanding. The Scottsdale-based chain will open its fifth store Thursday near Tatum and Shea boulevards in Phoenix. The restaurant serves up salads, sandwiches, wraps and protein bowls and and also offers a gluten, dairy, lactose and soy -free menu.
