PHOENIX — It’s that time of year again: Arizona State University and University of Arizona will go head-to-head on Saturday in the fight for the Territorial Cup.

The rivalry football game will be held at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe at 2:30 p.m., which could mean headaches for those trying to drive to the game and park in the area.

And if you are among those people, you might want to think about taking alternative routes in order to avoid traffic.

There will not be any freeway or street closures or restrictions in the area, but game-day traffic can sometimes be a doozy. And streets and freeways could start clogging up as early as noon, with people trying to tailgate for the game.

Those who would normally take the Loop 202 might want to use the US 60 instead, while those heading to or from Scottsdale should consider taking the Loop 101 or State Route 51.

While driving can be a hassle, parking can sometimes be even worse. But those who are braving the traffic on game day can find some parking relief with the Parkmobile app.

The Parkmobile app allows drivers to find parking spots in real-time and to pay for those spots using their smartphone.

But if you want to avoid driving altogether, you can take the Valley Metro light rail and get off at the Veterans Way and College Avenue station. The station is also the same if you are taking a bus to the game.

We want to hear from you.
