Which dessert will be your go-to this Thanksgiving?
Is it pumpkin pie? Or, maybe pecan?
Google knows. The search engine found the three most-searched pie recipes and the most-searched side dishes by each state as reported on by the Huffington Post.
Arizonans like their pumpkin, apparently.
Over the last three Novembers, Arizona residents searched pumpkin pie as their favorite dessert on Turkey Day. As for side dish, you guessed it – pumpkin roll was the top of the list for Thanksgiving.
Results from our neighbors, California and New Mexico were a bit different.
Californians searched most for pecan pie and stuffing while New Mexico likes their pies. New Mexicans picked pumpkin pie for the best pie recipe and pecan pie for the best side dish.
Arizonans aren’t afraid to steer clear of birds for the main course, either.
The most popular food other than turkey? Arizonans like shrimp as an alternative to traditional Thanksgiving dishes.
