PHOENIX — The holiday season is just around the corner, but are you finding yourself stumped for gift ideas this year? Let Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport help.
The airport recently released its first holiday catalog in an effort to promote items available at shops in its terminals.
“Every item in the catalog is available at one of our shops, in all of our terminals,” said airport spokeswoman Heather Lissner. “You’ll find the shop name and location, as well as the [item] price.”
Lissner said there were gifts available for everyone on your list – even picky kids. “From books, to a stuffed javelina, to gecko poop,” she said.
But it’s not only the kids that will delight in gifts from Sky Harbor: Lissner said adults will be pleased too.
“[There are] beauty gifts – fragrances – from our duty-free stores,” she said. “We have jewelry from many of our retailers, from Bunky Boutique to Fire CZ.”
Arizona-centric and local gifts took center stage in the catalog.
Local retailers like Bunky Boutique and Roosevelt Row were in there, as well as holiday cookies from Tammie Coe and growlers of local craft beer from O.H.S.O Brewery.
There were also the usual travel gifts, such as “headphones, USB chargers,” Lissner said.
Retail shops are a big part of business and life at Sky Harbor. In fiscal year 2016, according to a study from the W.P. Carey School of Business, terminal businesses brought in more than $670,000.
