Main Street Minute: Tempe tech company is hiring

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. Stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Tempe-based tech company Insight is accepting online applications. Open positions include systems architect, information security engineer, software account manager and marketing specialist.

• The University of Arizona Cancer Center has received a $2 million grant from the National Cancer Institute. The money will go to investigate how a mineral called selenium interacts with other components of a person’s diet to affect colon cancer risk.

• Uber drivers in the Valley can take advantage of a special promotion this week. Jacksons Car Wash is offering discounted washes, detail and oil change services to the more than 15,000 drivers for the ride share. The offer, which ends Wednesday, celebrates Uber’s fifth anniversary here.
