Man wanted on suspicion of two mosque burglaries in Arizona

PHOENIX — An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who is suspected of burglarizing two mosques in Arizona, the state attorney general’s office announced Friday.
Andrew Charles Chambers is suspected of stealing donation boxes from both the Masjid Bilal Rabah Mosque in Maricopa and Islamic Center of the East Valley in Chandler in March.
Surveillance video showed that Chambers had broken into both mosques, according to the attorney general’s office.
Chambers faces charges of burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools and aggravated criminal damage in relation to the crimes.
He is also suspected of breaking into mosques in Alabama and Virginia.
Chamber’s last known address was in South Dakota. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Arizona Attorney General’s Office at 602- 542-5025.
