PHOENIX — There’s some good news for Phoenix residents who have been patiently waiting for fall-like weather: Temperatures are expected to dip below 90 degrees this week.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures in Phoenix are forecast to be below 90 degrees for the next seven days.
On average, the last 90-degree day in Phoenix typically occurs on or around Oct. 28.
But that does not mean it couldn’t happen later: The latest that a 90-degree day occurred in the city was Nov. 15, 1999.
And that’s not all. Temperatures in Phoenix aren’t only expected to dip below 90 degrees: Several days this week are forecast to be below average.
On Monday, the high is expected to be 87 degrees, while the low could hit 62. Tuesday and Wednesday will both see highs around 83 degrees, with lows of 60 and 58 degrees, respectively.
But the temperatures will tick upwards by the end of the week: Both Friday and Saturday are expected to see a high of 87, with a low of 60 degrees.
