PHOENIX — At least seven people were injured, including two highway patrol officers and children, in a multiple-vehicle accident Friday morning on Interstate 17 in Phoenix.
All involved were taken to hospitals in serious condition, a spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department said.
One of the troopers had to be extricated from the wreckage on the northbound lanes at Bethany Home Road. The children were taken to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
