PHOENIX — If you’ve ever wanted to hear that big voice yell “Come on down,” you’ll get your chance when “The Price is Right Live” comes to Chandler in January.
The touring show — based on the long-running “The Price is Right” — was scheduled to be at the Chandler Center for the Arts on Jan. 20.
“The Price is Right Live” has been touring for 14 years.
Contestants will compete in some of the TV show’s classic games, such as Plinko, Spin the Wheel and the Showcase.
There was no prize list available, but the show’s website promised “the types of prizes are very similar to what you see on television. For example, you may see a stainless steel fridge, pool table, cash prizes, and, of course, a car.”
Tickets for the show were sold out, though there was a glimmer of hope for those who did not get seats: According to the show’s website, anyone can register to be a contestant on the show. If they are selected, they get a seat.
Registration opens three hours before the 8 p.m. show. Though people are not required to show up early, it was encouraged.
The contestants will be selected through a random drawing.
“The names of all eligible registrants will be weighted equally, that is, no advantage shall be given to individuals who purchased a ticket over individuals that did not,” the website said.
