PHOENIX — A security checkpoint inside Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was reopened Wednesday morning after a power outage.
The airport tweeted that the checkpoint outside the D gates was closed about 9 a.m. It took about 45 minutes to get the power back on.

The power loss was not noted on Arizona Public Service’s outage map.
Sky Harbor said passengers should check to make sure the outage did not affect their flight.
UPDATE: APS is working to restore power. It’s a good idea to check your flight status with your airline.

It was the second incident at the terminal this week. Sunday, security checkpoints at gates B and C were shut down because of a suspicious item.
Authorities shut down airport ramps on State Route 143 in both directions and other routes at the terminal were also blocked off.
Shuttle drivers coming from Washington Street were redirected to a back-way access to the terminal, which is a hub for America and Southwest airlines.
