Main Street Minute: Phoenix-area nonprofits tabbed for literacy funding

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• A pair of local nonprofits just got money to help youth. The Dollar General Literacy Foundation awarded A New Leaf in Mesa and Phoenix-based Chicanos por la Causa a combined $7,000 to support youth literacy efforts.
• UAT Game Studios is hosting a recruiting event Friday. The job fair runs from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the University of Advancing Technology office near Interstate 10 and Baseline Road in Tempe.
