PHOENIX — After a night of showers, thunder and lightning, weather in metro Phoenix was expected to be sunny starting Monday.
The National Weather Service said the high should reach 102 degrees and evening skies would be clear with a low around 80 degrees.
But the air was full of potential drama in predawn hours. A flash-flood warning was posted for an area between Cave Creek and Fountain Hills.

There was also a chance for heavy rain between Phoenix’s Laveen area to Casa Grande.
There was more than enough rain Sunday in Phoenix to set a daily rainfall mark of 0.33 inches at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
There was plenty of rain all around Arizona on the day.
