PHOENIX — Police arrested a man Wednesday accused of spying on at least three women in public restrooms.
Phoenix Police Department Sgt. Alan Pfohl said 30-year-old Vincent Rios was arrested after officers received tips from the public.
Pfohl said Rios allegedly spied on the women between July 9 and July 18. He said Rios would hide in the women’s restrooms and use a mirror or similar device to look into stalls.
One incident happened in a hotel, another happened in a department store and the final incident was at pet supply store. All of the locations were near Interstate 17.
The victims’ names were not released, but police said they were 25, 38 and 44 years old.
Pfohl said the incidents should be a reminder for everyone to always be aware.
“What we really want the public to know is to really be aware of your surroundings, anytime you are out in public, especially when you go into a restroom,” he said. “Just be aware of other people that are present.”
Rios was charged with four counts of voyeurism and one count of possession of a dangerous drug.
