PHOENIX — Helping those in need is critical now more than ever in Mesa, Arizona.
United Food Bank announced Tuesday they lost 21,650 pounds of nutritious frozen food due to a compressor break in the main freezer of its warehouse and transportation center.
The lost food would have served people for three weeks.
Because of the unfortunate incident, United Food Bank is asking for help to replace the spoiled food or donations of any kind.
They deliver to five counties each month, and need frozen fruits, vegetables and meats.
The repair estimate for their main freezer is $10,000.
