Rapper Macklemore’s US tour to make a stop in Tempe

PHOENIX — Rapper Macklemore will bring his United States tour to Tempe in October, it was announced Wednesday.
According to his website, Macklemore will be at the Marquee Theater on Oct. 14.
Tickets for the show will be available through a presale on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.. They will be sold to the general public beginning Friday at 10 a.m.
Macklemore has enjoyed a successful career. He first emerged on the music scene in 2000 and was on the road to stardom. He partnered with producer Ryan Lewis in 2009 and the pair’s tunes became massively popular, especially the 2012 hit “Thrift Shop.”
Macklemore last performed in the Valley alongside Ryan Lewis in April as part of the free Final Four concerts.
He was expected to release his second studio album, “Glorious,” sometime in the coming months.
