PHOENIX — Arizona-raised violinist Lindsey Stirling was rocking a crowd on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” while some of Arizona was fast asleep.
The musician appeared as part of Kimmel’s late-night TV concert series on Tuesday night.
Stirling opened with “The Arena,” a song from her new album, “Brave Enough.”
Later in the show, she played her song, “Love’s Just a Feeling,” that features Irish songwriter Ruth-Anne Cunningham, who goes by Rooty when she performs.
Stirling likely had to make a rather quick exit from Los Angeles the morning after her performance, as she was scheduled to play a concert on Aug. 12 in Bogota, Colombia.
It’s been a busy year for Stirling thus far. In addition to her tour, she won a Billboard Music Award in May for the best dance/electronic album and was the focus of a documentary on YouTube Red.
Stirling has an impressive resume of performances, including a national anthem for the 49ers, and Billboard Music Awards appearances last year with Celine Dion and in 2015 with Wiz Khalifa to honor the late actor Paul Walker.
The violinist was born in California and moved to Gilbert when she was young.
