Man killed in early morning fire at Phoenix family home

PHOENIX — A man was killed early Tuesday morning after a fire ripped through a family home in south Phoenix, officials said.
Phoenix Fire Capt. Reda Riddle-Bigler said the fire started inside the home near 16th Street and Roeser Road about 4:30 a.m.
Riddle-Bigler said one man in his 40s was killed in the blaze.
Two adults — one of whom was in critical condition — were hospitalized.
Three children were in the home. None of them were taken to the hospital.
Riddle-Bigler said both fire and police officials were investigating the blaze.
