PHOENIX — Linkin Park has canceled their tour following the death of their lead singer.

Chester Bennington, a Phoenix native, reportedly took his own life Thursday morning. He was found dead inside his home in Palos Verdes Estates near Los Angeles in an apparent hanging.

Linkin Park was making stops worldwide for their One More Light North American Tour, and they were scheduled to play in Phoenix at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Aug. 30.

Live Nation announced that fans who had already bought tickets to any of the shows will receive refunds.

Bennington, 41, had struggled with drugs and alcohol from a young age, according to TMZ. He also had talked about committing suicide in the past because of alleged abuse he suffered as a child.

Bennington is survived by his wife, Talinda Ann Bentley, and his six children from two marriages.

The lead singer had been with Linkin Park for almost 20 years. The band quickly grew popular for their hit songs “In the End” and “Breaking the Habit.”

Linkin Park has sold more than 70 million records. Its debut album “Hybrid Theory” was released in 2000, and was one of the best-selling albums ever in the United States.
