PHOENIX — A wrong-way driver was killed and another driver was injured in the early hours Friday on a Phoenix-area freeway.
The southbound Loop 101 in Scottsdale was closed at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard for the investigation. The male driver smashed into another car shortly after midnight.
“The collision was a head-on, but kind of an offset head-on,” Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Quentin Mehr said.
