PHOENIX — A new Target store has opened on 16th Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix — and it’s a bit different than other Target stores in Arizona.
The store has been referred to as a “small-format” version of the Minnesota-based retail chain, but the new Target will still sell items like groceries, cosmetics, baby products, electronics and more.
The new small-format stores have appeared in other parts of the country — particularly urban areas, like Manhattan. USA Today reported last year that the new stores could bolster the company’s growth.
The new store is 50,000 square feet in size, according to a preliminary report from Phoenix Business Journal from last year when it was first known the store would be built.
