Rain falls in Valley on Tuesday with more storms potentially on the way

PHOENIX — Rainfall hit much of the Valley on Tuesday as storms rolled in and more rain could be on the way later this week, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS reported on Twitter that the strongest storm in the greater Phoenix area was in Buckeye, as of about 5 p.m. But according to their weather radar, rain fell on much of the the Valley.
Maricopa County’s flood control district reported measurable rain near Superstition Springs, the Estrella Mountains, and Peoria mid-Tuesday afternoon.
The NWS’ forecast said there was at least some chance of rain in Phoenix every day through at least next Tuesday. Wednesday’s chance for rain stood at 20 percent.
