PHOENIX — A retailer that primarily sells kids and baby clothing will be closing hundreds of stores across the nation starting Tuesday.
According to USA Today, four of those stores sit in Arizona.
Gymboree is restructuring in bankruptcy and is forced to stop sales at 350 stores, the company said Tuesday.
Affected locations in Arizona are at the Paradise Valley Mall on Cactus Road in Phoenix, Outlets at Anthem on Anthem Way in Phoenix, SanTan Village on Williamsfield Road in Gilbert, and Tucson Mall on Oracle Road in Tucson.
The USA Today reported that Gymboree filed for bankruptcy protection in June.
“Today’s announcement represents the next step in the Company’s court-supervised financial restructuring as we work to more strongly position the business for long-term growth and success,” said Daniel Griesemer, CEO of Gymboree, in a statement.
The retailer is based in San Francisco and also operates Crazy 8 and Janie and Jack stores.
