Southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix to see overnight closures this week

PHOENIX — Parts of the southbound Interstate 17 will be closed overnight this week in Phoenix so crews can paint new lane striping on the asphalt.
The Arizona Department of Transportation announced the following closures, which will all apply from 10 p.m. one night to 5 a.m. the following morning:
• Between Bethany Home Road and Camelback Road from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning
• Between Camelback Road and Indian School Road from Wednesday night to Thursday morning
• Between Indian School Road and Thomas Road from Thursday night to Friday morning
ADOT said SR 51 could serve as an alternative route. Those forced to exit the I-17 could also use the southbound frontage road.
