PHOENIX — A Valley restaurant that’s been in business for six years announced via Facebook on Thursday that they’ll be shutting their doors this month.
Pizza People Pub will cease operations on June 11. Located on Central Avenue between Roosevelt Street and McDowell Road in Phoenix, the company stated in its social media post that “many factors contributed to the decision.”
“The saturation of new restaurants in central Phoenix, a skilled labor shortage, the recent wage increase, rising food costs, etc…,” the Facebook post read. “Restaurant success relies on volume business and despite our best efforts, Pizza People just wasn’t seeing the customer numbers needed to meet the rising operating costs.”
The post said the restaurant started in 2011 as a food truck and became a pub nearly four years ago.
Its hours of operation are listed as 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
