PHOENIX — In an important email, a simple misspelling of a word can prove to be costly.
Getting a reply back from a “hopeful” future employer is more likely if one writes, “I hope to hear from you tomorrow,” instead of, “I hope to hear from you toommorow.”
And if one writes, “I hope to hear from you 2marrow,” then it’s almost a certainty they will remain on the job hunt at least a little longer.
According to a study, “tomorrow” is the word Arizonans misspell a lot.
Google looked at the top searched “how to spell” words in every state, and the results may surprise you.
Apparently “Mary Poppins” is still a popular movie in West Virginia and Connecticut, as “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” is a common searched for word there.
Easier ones like “nanny” in Mississippi and “quote” in Idaho show that auto-correct on cellphones was a very smart idea. And for those living in Wisconsin, well, we’ll let you just look at the map.
