Sections of SB I-17 in Phoenix to be closed overnight during week of May 15

PHOENIX — Various sections of the southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix will be closed overnight during the week of May 15, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The overnight closures will allow for workers to install traffic-flow sensors along the freeway.
The following sections of the freeway will be closed at the times listed below, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
• Southbound Interstate 17 will be closed at Peoria Avenue from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday for traffic-flow sensor installation. Southbound I-17 on-ramps at Thunderbird and Cactus roads will also be closed.
• Southbound Interstate 17 will be closed at Dunlap Avenue from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday for traffic-flow sensor installation. Southbound I-17 on-ramps at Cactus Road and Peoria Avenue will also be closed.
• Southbound Interstate 17 will be closed between Northern and Glendale avenues from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday for traffic-flow sensor installation. Southbound I-17 on-ramp at Dunlap Avenue will also be closed.
• Southbound Interstate 17 will be closed between Glendale Avenue and Bethany Home Road from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday for traffic-flow sensor installation. Southbound I-17 on-ramp at Northern Avenue will also be closed.
